This 5-page short screenplay was composed while interning with Susie Films, a production company based in Charlotte, NC. The short story explores a college student who fights his own doubts and fears of the future. Through a journey with an angel-like voice in his head, he seeks the truth behind who he is and who he is meant to be. In the process, he faces the powers within himself that empowers and threatens his journey to a successful future, free from his newly-discovered internal setbacks.

Echoes of Trust

Echoes of Trust is a short film based on a poem by Darius Johnson. The film encompasses the poem itself, with added dialogue, telling the story of a pair of former-best friends. When two young adults transitioning into adulthood find themselves losing trust and then their friendship, one of the two find themselves reflecting on what dug them apart and seek to reassure themselves, by their memories, to move forward.

Ambition’s Edge

Ambition’s Edge is a short film based on a poem by Darius Johnson. This film also encompasses the poem itself, with added dialogue. The film depicts a young-adult transitioning into adulthood facing the constant struggle of dreams and unperceived progress. Through moments of reflection, he decides to change his ways to pursue his life's purpose and find out how to build momentum, and maintain it.
